Pack your garden tools and gloves and come help clean up our school.  There are always projects for every age and children are welcome to attend.  The FOM sponsors this annual beautification event and provides food and beverage refreshments to all the deserving workers.  Last year much was accomplished with over 75 people contributing their services.   We hope to have as many helpers this year.    This event occurs on a  Saturday in August, before  school opens for a new school year. School Clean-Up Date Year 2011-2012 Was Awesome!

Parents, children, and CHMS teachers, administrators and staff all came out to help with the garden and all outdoor areas that needed to be beautified to start another great school year.

The ongoing construction posed a challenge, requiring that Clean-Up Day Work Zones be outlined. There were leaders assigned to each zone to assure that the tasks were delegated and completed. The garden, the field, the Lower Elementary area, and the new plantings required for our new building were all addressed. Everything went smoothly, and despite the heat, a tremendous amount of work was done!  The construction did thwart some of our efforts, but we expect the rest of the grounds to be up to par very soon.

This event is one of those that really shows how much can be accomplished with a community that is friendly, helpful and involved. We were especially proud of the efforts of the children. Their significant hard work to beautify their school was inspiring. Thanks so much to all of you who came and participated!
