DASH FOR THE FUTURE

The 3rd annual Friends of Montessori Fun Run/Walk

The Friends of Montessori is pleased to announce the DASH FOR THE FUTURE, the 3rd annual Fun Run/Walk to support CHMS! This event is a chance for ALL students and their families to get some exercise, have fun, experience the pride of crossing a finish line, and help generate financial support for their school and its programs.

The race will take place at CHMS, and will occur in three waves. The first wave will be a 1 mile run/walk (6.5 laps) for Upper Elementary and Middle School Students. The second wave will be a 1k run/walk (4 laps) for Lower Elementary Students. The third wave will be a 1/2 k run/walk (2 laps) for Primary Students. The Toddlers will enjoy a shortened obstacle course next to the main course and will start with the first wave. Participation in the race is optional and the total number of laps completed is up to each student. Last year, many of the students were so inspired that they kept running well beyond their set distance! The students will be given a string of beads for each lap they complete. At the end of the race they will turn in the beads in exchange for a card with their total laps recorded and a race medal! We encourage parents to be there to cheer their students on, or even run a few laps with them!

Student Sponsorship:

Race packets have been sent home with an attached Student Sponsorship form.

With their parent’s help and permission, students may ask for family and friends to sponsor them in their race. Student Sponsors will be able to choose between making a one-time donation or pledging a certain donation per lap that is completed. The week following the race, students can finish collecting their donations and turn them in at the school office. Students are not required, however, to have sponsorship to participate in the race.

Race Sponsorship:

Race Sponsorship offer opportunities for you or your business to support the race while also getting valuable advertising. Various levels of sponsorship offer advertising at school, on the race shirts, on the race medals and on the FOM Website. All race sponsors are given race shirts.
